"She should not have said like this. She should behave like a chief minister," Bose told newspersons after a Left Front meeting here.
"The chief minister should instead take interest in development activities in the state," he said.
Bose, however, refused to comment on whether the Front would support the strike call saying that it was a trade union movement.
Hitting out at CITU for calling the state-wide transport strike, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had yesterday warned of revoking licences of buses if private operators failed to ply their buses on the day.
"The government will take stern action in the event of violence or damage to vehicles (during the strike). We will keep a vigil on the situation and monitor who joins the transport strike to harass commuters. The government will not hesitate to take appropriate action and legal steps," she had said.
If necessary, the state government might stop annual subsidy of Rs 600 crore to the state-run transport corporations and purchase new buses with the fund, she said.
CITU has called the transport strike primarily as a mark of protest against fuel price hike.
