Art Stage Singapore will take place at Marina Bay Sands from January 15-19 next year, a press release here said.
Krishnamachari, who is busy with preparations for the second edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, has to select Indian artists and help the organisers design the Indian pavilion for the new project called 'Platform', where a handful of countries will have their individual curated shows.
The new component in the fair will be divided into regional and country platforms where exciting new works by Asia Pacific's well-known and emerging artists will be featured together on the same stage. The Platforms will include Southeast Asia, India, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Australia and New Zealand.
Art Stage Singapore, which made its debut in 2011, has received much interest from gallerists, artists, collectors, curators and art lovers around the globe as it places contemporary art of Asian origin into the relevant context through its international platform.
