Boy died, five of family fall ill eating mushroom

A ten-year-old boy died and five family elders fell ill after eating mushroom at Sentetfiang in Mizoram, an offical report said today.
Roneihmawia, a class six student, and five of his family elders ate three kinds of mushroom cooked together at a dinner on Thursday, the delayed report said.
All the family members vomited and had severe stomach pain. When the condition of Roneihmawia turned worse he was taken to the nearby Sangau Primary Health Centre where he died on Saturday evening.
The condition of his father L H Malsawma was serious while a neighbour Renthluaii, who visited the family during the dinner and ate the cooked mushroom, also was taken ill, the report said.
