Boy drowns in swimming pool

An 11 years old boy drowned in a
swimming pool in the city late last evening after having an epileptic fit, police said today.
The incident took place in Vasant Vihar area.
The deceased boy was identified as Vrushabh Kumar Vedpatahk, resident of Roha, who had come to Thane to stay with his grandparents during the vacations.
While swimming with some friends at Vasant Vihar Club, he had an attack of epilepsy and drowned, police said.
Life guards at the pool took him to nearby hospital but he was declared brought dead, said senior police inspector Nitin Bangale of the Vartak Nagar Police station.
