An eleven-year old boy died after a live wire fell on him in Dhabad village in the district around 60 km from here this morning, police said.
The incident took place when the victim identified as Jayesh Mangesh Wagh, was returning home from school.

When the local villagers and the victim's family members learnt about the incident they held a 'rasta roko' protest at Ambadi junction and demanded action against the erring staff of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) and refused to take custody of the body.
The agitation went on for over three hours. The MSEDCL officials agreed to pay Rs 2 lakh compensation to the family.
