Boy falls in pit at construction site, dies

A 10-year-old boy fell in a pit at a construction site here today and died, said an official.
The boy, Satish S Dhotre, fell in the pit dug up at the construction site in Balkum area at around 1.45 pm, Santosh Kadam, chief of the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC), told reporters.
Those working nearby pulled him out and admitted him to a nearby hospital, where he died during treatment, he said.
Police are probing the case.
