K Santosh got into the passageway of about seven inches and could not move any further beyond a point and started shouting seeking help, Fire and Rescue personnel said.
"It was a very narrow passageway, not more than seven inches, somehow the boy had squeezed himself into it and was caught," an official involved in the rescue operation told PTI.
Rescue services personnel drilled a hole in a wall adjacent to the passageway and rescued the boy, he said.
A nine-member team, was deputed the rescue operation.
