State-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) on Saturday announced a cash award of Rs 75 lakh and promotion for P V Sindhu, the country's first-ever woman silver medallist in the Olympic Games.
Sindhu has been working with BPCL since 2013 and is currently Assistant Manager (Sports) at its Hyderabad office.
Announcing a cash award of Rs 75 lakh for her fleet, BPCL Chairman and Managing Director S Varadarajan said Sindhu would be promoted to deputy manager.
Sindhu, who hails from Hyderabad, has been associated with BPCL ever since she was 14 years old and joined the company in July 2013.
Sindhu has been working with BPCL since 2013 and is currently Assistant Manager (Sports) at its Hyderabad office.
