Bpl Organ Donation Society appeals people to donate organs

With an aim to motivate people and raise awareness about organ donation, Bhopal Organ Donation Society today appealed to them to come forward for the noble cause which will help others in leading a normal life.
"It is very essential to generate awareness among people on the issue of organ donation as it will act as a life saving act for those in crisis. It will change their life for better," Bhopal Organ Donation Society Chairman and Collector, Nishant Warwade told reporters.
Since its inception two years ago, a total of 44 persons have donated their organs, he said.
"The society has set a target to motivate people so that it receives five cases per day for eye donation and it can be achieved only when there is a huge awareness among masses on the issue," Warwade said.

A team of committed doctors are ready round-the-clock for the purpose to serve the society and are capable of reaching people at any hour for donating vital organs in the event of death.
He also informed that the society has also tied-up with 108 Ambulance Service (emergency service to help people in need) which will also help people in donating their vital organs.
