Hollywood star couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have secretly got married in France after nine years of courtship.
The pair, who raise six children together, tied the knot on Saturday at Chateau Miraval, their French getaway since 2008, in presence of close family members and friends, US media reported.
Jolie, 39 and Pitt met on the set of Doug Linman's spy caper 'Mr and Mrs Smith' in 2005. They began dating shortly after Pitt, 50, ended his five-year marriage to Jennifer Aniston.
The couple's children- Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and 6-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, took part in the wedding ceremony.
The couple obtained a marriage licence beforehand from a California judge who travelled to France to conduct the ceremony.
This is Jolie's third marriage- she was previously married to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
The newly-married couple are set to begin shooting Jolie's next directorial venture 'By the Sea', in Malta. The film is their first on-screen reunion since 'Mr & Mrs Smith'.
