Attacking AIADMK, DMK and Congress for practising politics of "corruption", BJP chief Amit Shah today sought to pitch his party as an alternative in Tamil Nadu.
He alleged that AIADMK and DMK, which have ruled the state for decades, have "pulled down" the development graph and urged the people of Tamil Nadu to vote for NDA to usher in politics of development.
Addrressing an election rally here, Shah referred to various allegations of corruption against the two Dravidian parties besides BJP's arch-rival, Congress.
He charged that DMK, AIADMK and Congress are "corrupt" and they do not "know anything other than corruption."
"DMK (is facing allegations) in 2G spectrum allocation and aircel-maxis.. How many scams are there against DMK," he said.
Targeting senior Congress leader and former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Shah said he and his son Karti "were also facing charges," in an apparent reference to the Aircel-Maxis deal.

Shah, who had last month called the AIADMK dispensation the "most corrupt government in the country," referred to the disproportionate assets case against its supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, now being heard in the Supreme Court.
"In AIADMK, there is a disproportionate assets case against Jayalalithaa," he said.
"The voters of Tamil Nadu have to decide in these Assembly polls if they wish to continue with politics of corruption and nepotism or they want to move to politics of development.
"The other three parties in the fray - be it AIADMK, DMK or the Congress-- there are corruption cases against their leaders and they have been exploiting the state's citizens. On the other hand, it has been two years since BJP government has been in power at the Centre but there is not even one allegation of corruption," he said.
Shah said in the last 50 years, if the people have been upset with AIADMK government, they have voted for DMK and if they have been unhappy with DMK, they have chosen AIADMK.
"The voters of Tamil Nadu have not voted to elect a new government but they have primarily voted to oust the old government.
"There is no difference between the DMK and AIADMK. Both parties are corrupt, they have caused immense loss to Tamil Nadu and pulled down the state's development graph," he said.
The Assembly election in the state will be held on May 16.
Noting that the nation's voters gave a "new direction" to the country's politics by electing a government with full majority under Narendra Modi in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Shah said a similar change is needed in Tamil Nadu and instead of replacing AIADMK with DMK, people should elect a good government.
Noting that Tamil Nadu used to be "way ahead" of other
states but was lagging behind now as voters continue to elect either AIADMK or DMK, Shah said if NDA forms the government in the state, it will solve a lot of problems.
He said during the Chennai floods, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came and stood with the people of the state in their "hour of crisis" and the Centre also gave a financial assistance of Rs 2,000 crore.
"However, instead of utilizing the funds for rebuilding infrastructure and other facilities, the AIADMK government issued cheques to people in the name of Amma.
"The Modi government sends rice costing Rs 27 per kg at Rs 3 per kg for people of Tamil Nadu but Amma repackages it and sells it at Rs 2 per kg as Amma chawal," Shah said.
Noting that the Modi government has launched "path breaking" initiatives, Shah said that the Centre has initiated dialogue with Sri Lanka for protection of Indian fishermen and as a result the Sri Lankan Navy has not caused any harm to even one Indian fisherman in the last two years.
Claiming that several central development programmes have "not been" been implemented properly in the state, the BJP president said that the UDAY scheme, meant to strenghen state electricity boards to help reach power to every household has been welcomed across the country but not introduced in Tamil Nadu.
Referring to the Mudra Bank scheme, he said despite providing employment to over 1.85 crore people elsewhere, it has failed to reach the grassroots level in the state due to lack of effort on the part of the state government.
"The budget for the state highways is lying untouched while Amma has no interest in implementing Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna for providing road connectivity to villages," Shah said.
Referring to schemes like accident cover of Rs 2 Lakh at an annual premium of Rs 12 and life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh for annual premium of Rs 330, Shah said the state government has not allowed these schemes to reach the common man.
"More than 3,000 shops have been opened across the country to provide medicine at affordable rates but I do not think the state government will allow such shops to be opened in Tamil Nadu.
"The PM launched Ujjwala scheme on May 1 that will provide LPG connection to 5 crore poor families. However if we continue to have AIADMK government, LPG connection will not reach the state's poor. Tamil Nadu votes on May 16 and I urge you to work towards electing a BJP-led NDA government in the state," Shah said.
