Brass recovers on renewed demand

Brass prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid renewed demand from alloy industries.
Select copper and zinc prices declined further on stockists selling amid subdued offtake from industrial users.
Globally, traders attributed the rise in base metal prices to pick up in demand from consuming industries.
Brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 275 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 273.
Brass sheet cutting edged-up by a Re per kg to Rs 281.
However, copper scrap heavy and copper armiture fell by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 368 and Rs 364 from Rs 370 and Rs 366.
Copper sheet cutting and zinc moved down by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 361 and Rs 139, respectively.
