Break jam in train triggers panic,one passenger jumps to death

The incident took place last evening when the Lucknow-Meerut train suddenly stopped due to brake jam, officials said today.

Five panic-stricken passengers jumped off the train. One of the passengers identified as Ram Ratan of Shahjahanpur died on the spot after being hit by a Rajdhani Express coming from the opposite direction, they said.

The other four have been rushed to a hospital, where condition of one person is stated to be serious.
