Speaking at the launch of the country's first boutique store at Quest Mall today here, area Sales Manager Aed Adwan said: "Keeping in mind the value of the brand we are trying to develop it in Indian market besides boosting our distribution and sales."
With almost 10 years since starting its business in India, Breitling has 21 shops in 12 cities including New Delhi and Mumbai, he said.
"We are in India for 10 years. We have been doing business with retailers. It's 2.5 years back we started doing business through retail outlets," he said, adding the service centre is in Mumbai.
With its largest market, the US, which accounts for one-fourth of the overall sales and Japan in the second spot, Globally, Breitling sells around 1.5-2 lakh watches every year, he added.
He also stated that in India, the Swiss brand has an "established customer base" with Rolex as its main competitor here.
Footballer David Beckham is the brand's face globally.
