The government pays tributes to B R Ambedkar with one hand and fire at Dalits with the other, CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat said today.
Karat made the remarks while addressing members of the Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch (DSMM) near the Reserve Bank of India on the occasion of BR Ambedkar's 127th birth anniversary.
"The Modi government offers flowers to Ambedkar with one hand and fire at Dalits with the other," she said.
The "Modi-Yogi sarkar" charged Bhim Army leader Chandrashekhar under the stringent National Security Act and kept him in captivity, but BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is an accused in the Unnao rape case, was roaming free until Friday, she said.
