Currently, British Airways operates Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the Hyderabad-London route.
"This year we are celebrating 90 years of flying into India. After successful launch of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the Hyderabad-London sector, we are adding another Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the Chennai and London route," British Airways Regional Commercial Manager (South Asia), Christopher Fordyce told reporters here.
The airliner also increased the frequency on the Chennai-London route by introducing daily flights from the earlier six days a week operations, he said.
Noting that India was the second biggest market for British Airways after North America, he said the airliner was offering Boeing 747, Boeing 777 flights on the Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi routes.
"There has been a steady growth in Hyderabad-London and Chennai-London route. We want to expand that route," he said.
British Airways operates 49 flights a week from Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
