Addressing reporters, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-II) G Ramgopal Naik said that S Kanakaratnam, a married woman, living near travel agent Satish's house at Indira Nagar developed a relation with him.
The woman's husband S Chander Rao caught them red-handed in a compromising position around 18 months ago after which the couple filed a divorce application, which is pending in court, the police official said.
However, the woman approached S Sattiraju, her brother-in-law to murder Satish, so that she could go back to her husband, the police official said.
On June 29, when Satish came to the woman's house she got him drunk and called Sattiraju, who hit him on his head with an iron rod, the police official said.
