'All The Way', Cranston's debut on Broadway, has been acquired by HBO for a movie version. Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan is on board to adapt the play for HBO Films, said the Hollywood Reporter.
The HBO movie will be produced by Amblin Television, Tale Told Productions and Moon Shot Entertainment, with Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey on board to executive produce alongside Schenkkan and Cranston.
'All the Way' looks at LBJ's tumultuous first year in office as he takes the oath in the wake of President John F Kennedy's assassination.
He next stars as Dalton Trumbo in Jay Roach's 'Trumbo'.
