BSE Institute today said it has partnered with HDFC Bank for a training course "Professional Banker Program (PBP)" for graduates in order to bridge the skills-gap in the banking industry and transforming candidates into job-ready professionals.
Under the programme, applicants will undergo a selection process and HDFC Bank will make a conditional offer of employment to selected candidates at the start of the course, subject to successful completion of the programme, BSE Institute said in a release issued here.
The course will be a little over 2 months and will train professionals for various retail branch banking roles such as teller, personal banker, welcome desk personal banker, among others.
"The association with HDFC Bank will go a long way in fulfilling our promise of providing skilled and employment- ready graduates to the financial services industry. We hope to create more such opportunities that will not only add value to businesses but also create employment opportunities across the country," BSE Institute Managing Director and CEO Ambarish Datta said.
The BSE Institutes PBP is being launched in April 2015 in Mumbai with a roadmap to expand the program footprint across several locations in the near future.
"Finding fresh graduates with the right career and motivational fit is key to any talent acquisition strategy at entry level. We are confident that through this course we will build a fine talent pipeline in sync with the requirements of the Bank," HDFC Bank Chief People Officer Philip Mathew said.
