Leading stock exchange BSE plans to launch liquidity enhancement scheme (LES) in equity derivative from August 26 to incentivise investors and market participants trading on the segment.
"The LES will be provided on index futures and options and fifty stock futures and options," BSE said in a release.
Under LES, brokers and other market intermediaries are given incentives for a specified period of time to bring in liquidity and generate investor interest in securities which have limited trading activity.
"BSE plans to launch the liquidity enhancement scheme in equity derivative segment from August 26, 2019," the release said.
