The incident happened yesterday evening when BSF jawans, belonging to 105 Battalion, observed some suspicious movement alongside the international border security fence and asked the intruder to stop.
"But he did not pay any heed. Thereafter, the BSF troopers fired in the air but he continued to venture into Indian territory. Later, he was shot by the jawans," BSF officials said.
Nothing objectionable was found from his possession, they said.
