"We are integrated with BISAG programme of Government of Gujarat. Today, on Gujarat frontier, I am able to talk with jawans in Border Out Posts (BOPS). We can also keep a watch on those BOPs. They can discuss with us whatever problem or issues they have. We can also have discussions and can get back to them," said Gujarat Frontier Inspector General, Santosh Mehra.
"BISAG may be having a reach in other frontiers of BSF in the country. From headquarters at Delhi, our senior and experienced officials can be able to talk with jawans and with officers in Jammu, Kashmir, Tripura and Meghalaya during any operation," Mehra said.
"They (senior officials) can also direct or give them (officers) command from the headquarters. Our administration will be greatly benefited from their direction and experience. This communication will prove good in different operations. A dedicated channel of BISAG can be given to us in shorter time," he said.
