During this celebration, a series of events will be organised, open to the public, showcasing the role and tasks performed by the BSF as first line of defence for the country, a BSF official said today.
The public, especially the school children, have been invited to Joint Check Post Attari, for witnessing the Weapons Exhibition and Mela (fair) with local handicrafts and eateries organised by the BSF.
On January 26, BSF's Director General D K Pathak, will also be present at JCP Attari area to review the operational situation of BSF on Punjab Border and interact with officers and jawans.
Later on, the BSF DG will inaugurate a large LED screen at the JCP Attari for the convenience of visitors who cannot be accommodated in the stadium to watch the Retreat Ceremony. He will also flag off two golf carts for facilitating senior citizens and release a DVD 'Sarhad Ke Rakshak' on this occasion.
The three day event will culminate with Joint Retreat Ceremony in the evening on January 26.
