During routine patrolling in the wee hours today along the North Dhariwal Border outpost of Amritsar sector, jawans noticed suspicious activities of Pakistani smugglers, Deputy Inspector General of Punjab Frontier of BSF, R S Katiyar said.
When the force personnel challenged the smugglers, they fled from the spot in the cover of grass, he said.
Personnel searched the spot and seized six packets of heroin, each containing one kg of the drug, valuing Rs 30 crore in international market, he said.
