BSNL employees stage dharna in support of their demands

Members of the BSNL Employees Union here and the Tamilnadu Telecom Contract Workers Union (TNTCWU) today held a joint dharna in support of their charter of demands.
They demanded, among other things, regularisation of the workers and employees who were now left out of confirmation benefits, benefits of Employees Provident Fund, ESI, Gratuity and bonus and also ensuring equal pay for equal work for the temporary and contrary workers.
District president of the BSNLEU, S Sankaran and A Murugan of TNTCWU were among those addressed the participants.
