Speaking to mediapersons here, N K Sukumaran, General Manager, BSNL-Kozhikode SSA, said at present there are 24 customer service centres in Kozhikode SSA, termed as "Company Owned Sales Outlets" facilitating the customers for the payment of bills, booking of new services, change of plan and recharge or Top-up.
The proposed CSC's at Westhill, Pantheerankavu, Ramanattukara and Edachery telephone exchange buildings would be functional shortly, he said.
BSNL-Kerala Circle, has been consistently making profits in the last several years. The net profit in 2013-14 was Rs 411 crore which was Rs 125 crore higher than the last financial year.
Kozhikode SSA was planning to provide 52,000 broadband connections this year. Rural Internet penetration in Kerala is the highest (3.4 percent) whereas the all India rural internet penetration is only 0.4 percent per 100 population, he said.

They have also plans to provide landline and Broadband service to presently non-feasible areas, through NDA_45 project, he said.
It has plans to provide 1000 Fibre to the Home (FTTH) connections to emerging high-rise buildings or multi-storeyed buildings. FTTH provides high-speed internet upto 100 Mbps and voice, he said.
