Reacting on BSP's demand to impose President's rule in Uttar Pradesh, the ruling Samajwadi Party today said the outfit has lost its base in the state and it was "afraid of exposure of misdeeds" during its regime.
"BSP supremo Mayawati is worried as his party has lost base in UP. She is afraid of exposure of misdeeds of her regime and that is why she is finding everything wrong in the present government," SP spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury told reporters here.
He said that due to corruption, people of the state had ousted BSP government and her demand of President's rule was "unconstitutional and an insult of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar".
"Due to Mayawati, the state had earned bad name all over the world. With Bhaicharas sammelans she tried to divide the society on caste lines," Chaudhary alleged.
Meanwhile, BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai challenged Mayawati to prove her allegations against RSS, VHP and Bajrag Dal.
"The Central government is running with BSP support. If whatever Mayawati said is true, she should write to Centre demanding ban on RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal or withdraw her support," Bajpai said.
