BSP today staged a protest before the Uttar Pradesh assembly against price rise and "deteriorating" law and order situation in the state.
Party workers carrying placards and banners assembled before the Vidhan Sabha to protest against the price rise by the Centre, and "deteriorating" law and order situation in the state under the Akhilesh Yadav government.
Led by senior leaders Sukhdev Rajbhar and Naseemuddin Siddiqui, party workers raised slogans against both the governments.
The BSP workers were carrying placards and banners reading "mehgi sabzi, mehga tel, yeh dekho Modi ka khel", Modi ka yeh nara hai achccy dil ayenge, garibi nahi, garebon ko mitayege" and "Akhilesh tere zamane mein , izzat lut ti thane main".
As the BSP workers were agitating outside on the road, their party legislators were sitting on protest inside the assembly premises on the same issues.
This was the first time during the present Akhilesh government that BSP held a protest before the Vidhan Sabha.
