Bud has let down farmers, govt staff and unemployed youth:CM

Puducherry Chief Minister V.Narayanasamy today described the Union Budget as "a great disappointment" for the public at large.
Narayanasamy said in a release there was no specific projection of industries generating jobs for educated unemployed youth in the budget.
Farmers, who were facing critical situation in their occupation, had been let down as no specific mention had been made to waive the agricultural loan, he said.
He said defence sector had also not been taken care of properly and the government staff covered under income tax had been disappointed as the announcement of relief was very negligible.
Although several representations had been made to the Centre for special schemes in railways sector in Puducherry, nothing had been available in the railway aspect of the budget, he said.
"On the whole the union budget is a great disappointment for the public at large," he said and described it has "failing the unemployed youth, grief-stricken farmers, government staff covered under income tax and the public at large without any specific welfare programmes.
