Mahesh Patil (42) had borrowed money from some local persons two-three years ago.
But as he couldn't not repay the money, four of the lenders started pestering him and allegedly threatened to kill him and his family, police said, quoting Patil's statement.
Patil, who was depressed, consumed poison yesterday afternoon. He was admitted to hospital and was undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case under the Maharashtra Money Lending Act of 2014, but no arrest has been made yet.
