"We are entering the country as an Internet only model. We are bringing in the majority of collection we have. We have aggressive plans for India and expect India to be one of our biggest markets in Asia," Bulova VP (Asia Pacific) June Rhee told PTI.
Bulova has an exclusive distributor based in Bangalore which will sell its product range on Amazon.In.
Rhee said the company may look at setting up brick and mortar retail distribution going forward.
"We do (want to get into offline retailing) after we get established in the market. Its is hard to tell when. We will make a decision depending upon the growth that we see here," she added.
Talking about its association with the brand, Amazon India Head (Fashion) Vikas Purohit said: "We have worked with the marketing team of Bulova over a period of last four months to launch the brand's store on our platform. Premium watches is one of the fastest growing categories on our market place."
Initially, the company would import its entire product range in India and its watches will be available in the price range of Rs 9,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
