A case has been registered against a deputy district head here for allegedly threatening and misbehaving with a BDO and other government officials, police said.
According to Bundi SP Tejraj Singh Kharodiya, Satyendra Meena, a Congress leader, was booked yesterday for allegedly threatening and misbehaving with the Block Development Officer (BDO) and other officials of Bundi Panchayat Samiti and interfering in their work.
The said BDO, Siraj Ahmed, alleged that Meena threatened to beat him up and tried to manhandle him when he had gone to the zila parishad office yesterday with two other officials.
Ahmed also claimed that Meena has been demanding money from him and other officials of the Bundi and Talera Panchayat Samitis.
However, deputy Zila Pramukh Meena, when contacted, denied all allegations against him and said he had "only asked the BDO not to ignore my calls as he was doing just that".
"I did not misbehave or threaten him or other officials," Meena said, adding that neither has he demanded money from any government officials.

SP Singh also said that Meena has several cases lodged against him in police stations.
Meanwhile, employees of Panchayati Raj institutions here have threatened to boycott work and stage a dharna on Monday if Meena is not arrested immediately.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bundi Zila Parishad, Ambrish Mehta, said they have earlier received complaints about Meena. Mehta added that the complaints pertaining to demands for money and threats to government officials have been mentioned in the FIR lodged yesterday against Meena.
When asked about any disciplinary action by the party against Meena, district Congress chief CL Premi said he was not aware of the incident. He, however, assured that appropriate steps would be taken if the charges were found to be true.
