Sujato Bhadra of the Association for Protection of Democratic Rights (APDR) said they have helped Razia Bibi and Alima Bibi, who are in jail custody now, with a lawyer to fight their cases.
"Even the worst criminal must get a lawyer to fight his or her case and so we have decided to help them," Bhadra said.
The rights activist has also demanded that the women should be sent to juvenile centres as they both have babies with them.
The two women were arrested on October 5, three days after the explosion at a house in Khagragarh locality of Burdwan town that killed two persons, suspected to be involved with a terror network of Jamat-ul Mujahidin Bangladesh.
Currently, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing the case.
