45-year-old Buddhu Ram and his wife (40) resisted the burglar late last night and in the scuffle, Ram died after being hit by a sharp weapon by the intruder, Superintendent of Police Y S Ramesh told reporters here.
His wife suffered injuries, he added.
Hearing their cries, local people rushed to their house and caught the bufglar and lynched him, he said adding that the burglar was yet to be identified.
