police have arrested seven burglars and recovered stolen goods from them.
Superintendent of Police (city), Chandan Kumar Jha today said the seven were involved in two burglary incidents committed a few days ago in ECC flats under Kadma police station.
Among other stolen items, police recovered three TV sets, three laptop, 18 mobile phones, three cameras, two video cameras, three DVD players, one desktop computer, one tab and gold ornaments from them.
Police also nabbed one Govind Paswan alias Chotu Paswan and recovered a stolen AC compressor worth Rs 25,000 following a raid in Tuiladungri under Golmuri police station, he said.
One of the two trucks that had gone missing last month was also found and its driver is being questioned.
Two trucks with consignments had left the steel city here on May 8 for Nagpur but did not reach there till June 1, Jha said adding that the manager of the transport company concerned registered a case in this regard after he failed to contact the owner of the trucks or the drivers.
One of the trucks was near Bhusan Power and Steel Company under Tilkuli police station of Sambalpur district of Odisha on June 23.
