The burglars entered the bank late last night by breaking locks of the main entrance and looted jewelleries, cash and documents kept in lockers, Superintendent of Police, Akhilesh Kumar Jha, said.
He said the burglars have cut open nine lockers with the help of gas cutters and stole jewelleries, cash and valuable documents of the customers.
The crime was detected this morning when the bank was opened, he said adding that the exact worth of jewellery and cash stolen was yet to be evaluated.
The forensic experts have taken the finger prints of the criminals, police said.
