"The bus from Wada depot was on its way from Sakhre to Jawhar. When it came near Sakhre, the passengers sensed some burning smell," Vikramgadh Police Station Inspector Sunil Nandwalkar told PTI.
The passengers alerted the driver and conductor, following which the bus was emptied.
The incident took place around 4 pm.
"Within minutes the bus caught fire and was totally gutted," he said.
Further investigation is on.
