Bus torched in Gumla

torched a bus in Gumla district in the wee hours today, the police said here.

The bus was parked near the government bus stand when suspected extremists poured inflammable substance and set it on fire, the sources said.

The driver and the helper, who were sleeping inside the vehicle, managed to escape, the sources added.

The bus was reportedly plied on a bandh day called by an extremist group.
