The businessman, identified as Shekhar Deb, was kidnapped
at gun-point in Cheragi area of the district while he was returning home late last night.
The identity of the militant outfit was yet to be identified and the family members have not received any ransom note so far, they said.
The police have launched a search operation to trace the
abducted.
