NEFOWA members today held their first general meeting to raise their concerns regarding cancellation of allotments by various builders at Ajnara site here.

However, no one representing the builders was present at the meeting.

"NEFOWA will shortly meet with Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India officials and CEO of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) to raise these issues and try to resolve the same.

"GNIDA has already instructed the builders to take care of existing buyers and not to harass them. We will discuss price hike, zero period, change of layout plan and other such issues with them as well," NEFOWA's general secretary Shweta Bharti said.

Meanwhile, farmers held a panchayat meeting at Shiv temple in Bisrakh area here and decided to block all construction activities until their demands are met.

"We will not allow construction till problems including abadi land dispute are resolved and compensation at the rate of six times the circle rate is given as promised," a farmer leader from Inder Nagar said.

"We have warned the builders not to start construction. NCRPB approval has no meaning for us. We want solution to our problems," he said.
