A 10-year-old girl was gang-raped allegedly by three men of her village in Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon district, all of whom were arrested Monday, police said.
The incident took place on Sunday when the victim had gone to her farm in the outskirts of Badgaon Charbhata village, Shivendra Rajput, Station House Officer (SHO), Dongargaon, said.
"The girl was kidnapped by Bisauha Patel (50), Tikam Sahu (20) and Ramu Dehari (56). They tied her hands and legs, took her to a room in an isolated place and raped her several times," he said.
After threatening the girl with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone, the accused fled, Rajput said.
"She reached home and told her parents about the ordeal, following which a complaint was filed. The accused were arrested from the village and have been charged with rape under IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," he informed.
