C'garh: Four of a family die in motorcycle collision

Four members of a family, including a couple and their minor son, were killed and two others injured in an accident involving three motorcycles in Chhattisgarh's Balodabazar-Bhatapara district today.
"The incident took place near Rohra village under Bhatapara (rural) police station limits," a district police official told PTI.
The deceased were identified as Ramavatar Mehar (40), his wife Sunita Mehar (35), son Yogesh (11) and nephew Digesh (9), all residents of Tikulia village of Bhatapara, while the injured are Rupesh Markandey (25) and Ritesh, both friends.
Ramavatar and his family members were riding back on a single motorcycle from Nawagarh in Bemetara district. They collided with Rupesh's motorcyle coming from the opposite direction near Rohra village, the official said.
Ramavatar, his wife and nephew died on the spot.
Ritesh, who was behind Rupesh on another bike, crashed into into the accident scene seconds later.
Yogesh and Rupesh, who sustained serious injuries, were shifted to Raipur. However Yogesh succumbed in hospital.
Ritesh was admitted to a hospital in Bhatapara.
