C'garh per capita income to grow at 8.3% in FY17: Survey
Press Trust of India Raipur The Economic Survey presented by the Chhattisgarh government today estimated a 8.26 per cent growth in per capita income at Rs 91,772 for financial year 2016-17, while the overall economic growth is pegged at 11.3 per cent.
State Planning, Economics and Statistics Minister Punnulal Mohile today presented the Economic Survey in the Assembly.
"As per the quick estimates, the per capita income in 2015-16 was Rs 84,767, which is likely to touch Rs 91,772 in 2016-17, registering a growth of 8.26 per cent over the previous year," the report said.
The survey said GSDP (at current price) is likely to rise to Rs 2,90,140 crore in 2016-17 from Rs 2,60,776 crore in 2015-16, a growth of 11.26 per cent over the previous year.
As per the advance estimate, the gross state domestic product in 2016-17 (at constant prices with base year 2011-12), is likely to grow at 7.14 per cent over 2015-16, the survey said, adding growth in gross state value added (basic prices), agriculture sector, industry and services sector is expected to be 7.40 per cent, 5.87 per cent, 6.11 per cent and 9.90 per cent, respectively, the survey said.
The report said the economy from a gross state value added is expected to increase from Rs 2,46,993 crore to Rs 2,75,655 crore.
