C'garh:Three Naxal sympathisers held;Rs 78.73 lakh cash seized

Security personnel today arrested three alleged Naxal sympathisers from Chhattisgarh's Kanker district and seized Rs 78.73 lakh in cash from them.
Kashyap Kumar Patel, Ravindra Parvate and Yashwant Rangari were arrested from Sulangi village, Kanker Deputy Inspector General of Police Ratanlal Dangi told PTI.
The three are residents of Gondia district in Maharashtra, he said.
Acting on a tip-off, personnel of Border Security Force (BSF) and state police intercepted a vehicle and nabbed the trio, the officer added.
He said Rs 27.43 lakh was seized from the vehicle along with Naxal literature, posters and banners.
During questioning they revealed that Rs 51.30 lakh in cash was kept in Bande area, which was later seized by the police. In total, Rs 78.73 lakh was seized, Dangi said.
As per initial inquiry, the trio left Gondia with the cash and wanted to give it to some person, the officer said, adding a probe was on.
