C'garh to launch industrial policy with 'Make in India' vision

Chhattisgarh government would soon announce its new policies in four different sectors, including industry and information technology, to meet the objectives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' vision.
Chief Minister Raman Singh made the announcement in this connection during a function here yesterday, an official statement said.
Singh said that the Prime Minister has given slogan of 'Make in India', on the lines of which Chhattisgarh government is going to introduce the new industrial policy of 'Make in Chhattisgarh', with an objective to achieve Modi's vision.
Very soon new industrial policy, IT policy, bio-technology policy and minor forest produce policy will be introduced in the state, he said.
Keeping in view the innovations in IT sector, formation of new neighbouring state (Telangana) and activities of other adjacent states, Chhattisgarh will modify its IT policy, the CM said.
Similarly, biotechnology has got immense scope and potential.

Modifications in this policy are to be done as per the new requirements, he said.
Stressing the need to modify the minor forest policy, he said minor forest produce is a major source of income for forest dwellers in Chhattisgarh and it also plays an important role in the economy.
Hence, it will be modified to suit the needs of forest dwellers.
Singh also said that as per the vision of PM, separate physical and financial targets have been finalised in rural and urban areas for running cleanliness drive.
Special emphasis will be laid on utilisation of the entire hygiene budget in various departments.
Strict compliance to the ban imposed on plastic will be ensured, he added.
