The incident took place at 10.30 AM when Vinay Aggarwal had gone to a nearby shop for repairing a puncture in his car, SHO Indirapuram Gorakh Nath Yadav said.
When he was standing outside the shop, two motorcycle- borne miscreants suddenly snatched his gold chain and fired a gun in the air to deter people from chasing them, Yadav said.
An FIR has been registered at Indira Puram police station, the SHO said, adding, the accused would be nabbed soon.
