The Union Cabinet was today informed about an agreement between India and Angola for promoting bilateral co-operation in electronics and information technology field.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) intends to promote closer ties in areas of e-Governance, human resource development for IT education, information security, electronics hardware manufacturing, IT embedded software industry and telemedicine, an official release said.
"The Union Cabinet...has been apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Angola for promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of electronics and Information Technology," it said.
The IT Ministry -- mandated to promote international cooperation in the emerging and frontier areas of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) -- has inked pacts with various countries to promote close cooperation and exchange of information in this field, the release added.
