The MoU will improve bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and will be mutually benefit both countries, an official statement said.
The agreement provides for cooperation in rice production and processing, multi cropping system, dry-land farming systems, bio-organic farming, solid and water conservation and management, soil fertility, sericulture, agro forestry, livestock improvement, among others.
A joint working group will be set up to implement the identified area of work in both the countries. The group will meet once every two years alternatively in the Philippines and India, the statement said.
