Cabinet expansion in Jharkhand: JVM (P) announces a day's fast

Protesting induction of two MLAs in the Raghubar Das cabinet despite they won on the JVM symbol, the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) today said its leaders would observe a day's fast on Monday.
"We had urged Governor Syed Ahmed to institute a judicial probe into the joining of six MLAs as they won elections on our party symbol. Instead of accepting our demand two of the MLAs were administered the oath," JVM legislature party leader Pradip Yadav told reporters soon after the BJP-led NDA government's cabinet expansion.
"Under the leadership of our party president Babulal Marandi, we will observe a day's fast on February 23. Our demand for a judicial probe stands as we want what led the MLAs to join (the BJP) and making two of them ministers," he added.

Amar Kumar Bauri and Randhir Kumar Singh, who on February 11 had joined the BJP along with four other MLAs, were today inducted in the cabinet.
