The minimum ex-gratia amount will be hiked from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh in the event of a member's death.
However, the above provision of minimum amount payable in case of death would not be applicable in cases where an advocate becomes a member of the fund after attaining 45 years of age.
In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, approval was also given to a proposal for increasing the special pay for constable (driver) and head constable (driver).
The Cabinet decided to increase the study leave for medical officers for higher study (PG course) from 24 months to 36 months.
